INSERT COIN / PLAYER ONE is an immersive performance that pulls audiences into a surreal, live-action video-game world where reality and virtual identity merge. Set inside a dreamlike arcade, the piece invites spectators to become active players, navigating encounters with four NPC performers who provoke, seduce, and trick them in a battle for attention. Explosive movement, playful misdirection, and hyper-stylized aesthetics create a space where desire, control, and digital influence collide in the era of the attention economy.
At its heart, INSERT COIN / PLAYER ONE is a game you play rather than watch. Each choice affects the unfolding piece, blurring the lines between performer and participant and exploring our complicity. The result is an adrenaline-charged, highly contemporary performance that speaks to a generation raised on digital interaction, revealing how virtual worlds mirror, distort, and expose the identities we construct both online and off.
