Work presented at the Moving Balkans Showcase 2026: SCARED
Ilias Chatzigeorgiou is a dancer, choreographer, and freelance curator based in Athens. He was recently awarded the Aerowaves Startup Forum 2024 for his proposal to create the three-day Dancells Dance Festival inside the largest Greek prison. Ilias served as Dance consultant at the Athens Epidaurus Festival from 2019 to 2022, where he initiated the Layers of Street thematic circle for hip hop and street dance and has curated the Athens Festival Urban Dance Contest for the past five years.
His choreographic works include A BOUNCE 4 MEN, presented at Onassis Stegi and toured in Cyprus, DD Chania, and Kalamata Dance Festival, as well as The Olympic Cypher (2024), co-produced by Institut Français de Grèce and Flux Laboratory, which followed the Olympic Flame to Paris.
