Moving Balkans, in partnership with Spain’s contemporary dance network Acieloabierto, invites choreographers based in the Balkan Peninsula to apply for Ventana Internacional 2026 — an international platform for selection, visibility, and mobility.

About Acieloabierto
Founded in 2013, Acieloabierto connects contemporary dance festivals across Spain, supporting sustainability, collaborative projects, and knowledge-sharing within the dance ecosystem.
Eligibility
Individual choreographers or collectives based in the Balkans
Completed contemporary dance works, 10–25 minutes, suitable for non-conventional spaces (outdoors/public)
Finalised pieces only (no improvisations or works in progress)
Submission Requirements
Full video of the piece in a non-conventional space
Adherence to submitted choreography and performers if selected
Commitment to all festival performances if selected
Fees & Travel
Fixed fees according to the number of performers: €750–3,600
Accommodation provided for performers only
Travel costs not covered; letters of invitation for mobility grants available
