The second Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Showcase is officially over, and we’re still carrying the energy of these past days with us.
What started with early arrivals and co-productions on 12 May turned into a full week of performances, pitches, conversations, reunions, unexpected encounters, and shared moments.
Over the week, we discovered new artistic voices, exchanged ideas, met the Top 10 artists of 2026, and spent time together in theatres, at pitches, over coffee, and in all the spaces in between. We crossed paths with familiar faces and future collaborators, and had conversations that lasted a bit longer than planned. Special thanks to the weather for waiting almost until the end before becoming part of the programme.
To everyone who joined us – artists, delegates, partners, audiences, volunteers, and supporters – thank you for bringing your curiosity, generosity, care, and good company. The showcase exists because of these exchanges and because of the communities continuing to build contemporary dance across the Balkans and beyond.
