Aerites Dance Company (GR)

Patricia Apergi, born in Athens, is a choreographer and founder of Aerites Dance Company (est. 2006). She has created numerous works for the company, including The House of Trouble (2023), U(R)TOPIAS (2021), Hero (2020), Polittes (Citizens Defeated) (2018), Cementary (2017), TANZheimer (2014), Planites (2013), Era poVera (2012), The Manifest of the Other (2010), and others. Her work has been presented widely both in Greece and internationally.
In addition to her choreographic work, Apergi has collaborated as a movement director in theater, opera, and art installations, working with a range of Greek and international artists. She has choreographed for dance and ballet companies globally, and co-authored the book Theatre History – Theatre Studies, published by the Hellenic Ministry of Education.
Apergi has been a Modul-dance artist under the European Dancehouse Network (EDN) and an associate artist at Maison de la Danse Lyon. She also served on the Athens Epidaurus Festival Board of Directors from 2020 to 2022. In 2021, she founded the first U(R)TOPIAS Academy of Choreography, in collaboration with Eleusis European Capital of Culture.
Apergi teaches dance and theater at Leonteios School in Athens and has led workshops and taught at schools both in Greece and abroad.
