Pack Up and Join Us Tomorrow!

The Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Showcase 2026 officially begins tomorrow in Novi Sad, bringing together artists, presenters, cultural professionals, and audiences from across the region and beyond for four days dedicated to contemporary dance.

From 13–16 May 2026, the showcase programme will feature 10 selected performances, 6 Dance Scape pitches, and a diverse side programme of networking events, co-productions, VR presentations, installations, discussions, and immersive experiences.

The showcase performances present the Top 10 works selected through the international open call, highlighting some of the most compelling contemporary dance productions from the Balkans today. Dance Scape pitches will introduce six choreographers and their artistic ideas through short presentation formats designed for exchange and future collaboration.

Part of the programme is open to the general public free of charge, inviting local audiences and visitors alike to experience contemporary dance in different formats and venues across the city.

Moving Balkans Co-productions

Participants arriving from 12 May or staying until 17 May can also take part in a dedicated co-production programme supporting cross-border collaboration, artistic exchange, and the creation of new contemporary dance works. A total of 5 Moving Balkans co-productions will be presented on 12 and 17 May.
