Mădălina Dan is a choreographer and performer whose practice spans international stages and deep engagement within Romania’s contemporary dance scene. Trained at the Floria Capsali Choreography High School and UNATC Bucharest, she later expanded her research through the SoDA MA program at HZT Berlin. Her work is marked by a strong commitment to community, exchange, and the creation of contexts where movement, dialogue, and shared authorship intersect.
A former member of the Oleg Danovski Ballet Company, she has developed a distinctive voice within experimental performance while mentoring emerging artists through the National Center for Dance Bucharest (CNDB). Her pieces have been presented at major festivals and venues across Europe and the US, and she is the recipient of the CNDB Award and a former Associate Artist of CNDB.
