Appropriations:territory is a multimedia performance where dance and film meet in a direct, evolving dialogue with the audience. The piece explores how live movement interacts with projected imagery, using film as both a narrative device and a conceptual lens to examine belonging and our identification with territory.

The work reveals how personal experience and place are inseparable. Each performance incorporates new footage shot live on stage and woven into the existing film, turning every iteration into a unique, continually transforming version – an ongoing film in the making. By blending disciplines and constantly reshaping its own boundaries, Appropriations:territory invites viewers to reconsider territory as fluid rather than fixed, offering a shifting, multilayered experience that reflects on identity and place.
