Duration: 55 min

ALL’ARME takes its name from the Italian cry all’arme!, “to arms!”, a historic call to immediate readiness in the face of danger. Rooted in the archaic arme, meaning weapons of defence or offence, the word alarm still carries the echo of mobilization, vigilance, and the instinct to protect, even as its meaning has expanded over time to signal all forms of warning and emergency.

Yet if alarm prepares us to defend, it also exposes a fragile threshold: When does protection tip into aggression? How do we respond to danger without becoming dangerous ourselves?

In this choreographic work for six dancers, Panzetti and Ticconi trace these tensions through movement. Beginning with the fundamental pulse of the human step, they investigate the persuasive force of synchrony and the seductive power of collective rhythm. Inspired by military choreographic structures, ALL’ARME navigates the shifting terrain between individual agency and group momentum, questioning how easily the energy of defence can transform into the very threat it seeks to resist.
