Work presented at the Moving Balkans Showcase 2026: IT’S THE END OF THE AMUSEMENT PHASE

Chara Kotsali is a Greek dance maker, performer, and teacher. She trained at Rallou Manou Professional School of Dance and holds degrees in Theater Studies and Social and Cultural Anthropology. Her work explores choreography through anthropology, music, and documentary practices, often focusing on the politics of sound and movement. She has presented work in Greece and internationally, including the solo pieces to be possessed and borborygmi, and is a Twenty24 Aerowaves artist.

As a performer, she has collaborated with numerous Greek and international artists and worked as a movement director in theater, receiving the Greek Critics Association award for best theater choreography in 2023. She is also part of the Onassis AiR program and the One Dance Festival Visiting Artists Program.
